With many close calls resulting in him not winning, Iwontdothatagain pounced on the pacesetter rounding the final turn to win in the $9,000 Open Pace at Century Downs on Sunday, Aug. 4 for the first time since April.

Trainer-driver Kelly Hoerdt placed the eight-year-old Stonebridge Regal gelding fourth while Cool Cowboy circled to the top through a :27.3 opening quarter. Baylor Out then angled wide from third to take command past a :55.1 opening quarter. As the front cooled, Hoerdt sent Iwontdothatagain after the new leader and stuck a half length in front passing three-quarters in 1:23.1 in progress to a length-and-a-quarter victory in 1:52.3 chased by Phanatical Maniac tracking cover for second and Baylor Out settling for third.

Co-owned by Hoerdt with Ed Keryliuk, Iwontdothatagain won his second race from 17 starts this season and his 33rd from 130 overall, earning $259,166. He paid $7.40 to win.
