In an upset-laden program, Gary Ewing's Sweet Bobbie prevailed in the $16,000 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

The four-year-old Art Major mare received a pocket trip for the second straight week and again she responded with a win for her owner/trainer Ewing. Sweet Bobbie ($40, Art Stafford, Jr.) surged in mid-stretch to grab the lead and held off a late charging Shine N Shimmer, and third place pacesetter Elliesjet N.

It was the fifth victory of the year for Sweet Bobbie.

Longshot winners were a common theme on a program that also produced bombs away winners such as Northern Rocknroll ($49.40, Tony Morgan) and Allisa Page ($30.60 , Russell Foster).

Harrington’s leading driver, Tony Morgan, had five wins on the program.
