A pair of Steve Elliott-trained two-year-old pacing fillies were victorious in the Stallion Series events held Wednesday, August 29 at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack.

Starter Norton Shoemaker dispatched seven $20,000 divisions of the Stallion Series, with Want Answers ($3.00) posting a 1:53.4 victory in the ninth race, scoring in pillar-to-post fashion with pilot Yannick Gingras to give Steve Elliott his first winner of the afternoon. The Western Terror filly had no trouble clearing the lead, rating a :57.1 half before staving off a far-turn challenge from Dragon Ruffles (driven by David Miller) and subsequently holding sway from the pocket-sitting Tiger Boudoir (Brandon Simpson).

Gingras and Elliott teamed up two races later with another daughter of Western Terror, Woman Of Terror ($7.80). In similar fashion, she controlled a sensible :57.3 half-mile before parrying the challenge of odds-on favourite Skade (David Miller), sprinting clear to win by four and three-quarter lengths in 1:53.3.

The fastest split of the afternoon, however, belonged to Brian Brown trainee Miss Madi M ($3.00). The Real Artist filly stalked a :27.2 first quarter from midfield before clearing to the lead with a circuit to go, never looking back en route to a 1:53.1 win with David Miller.

Two-year-old pacing fillies headline Pennsylvania Sire Stakes action at Harrah's Philadelphia on Thursday, August 30. First post is 12:40 p.m. Eastern time.
