After a short break, live horse racing will resume at Hippodrome de Quebec on Saturday, September 3 for the last stretch of the track's 2011 season

.

Live horse racing at Hippodrome de Quebec will take place every Saturday and Sunday until September 25. First-race post time is 1:00 p.m.

The eliminations for both the Lucien Bombardier Pace and Roger White Trot for juvenile fillies will be contested this Saturday. The finals for both events will be held on Saturday, September 10 during a weekend in which fans will also have a chance to see the best horses from the Quebec fair racing circuit in some finals to crown the season's champions.

Quebec-bred two-year-old and three-year-old horses will be in stakes action on September 17 and September 18. The classic 'Five-Mile Race' will be held on the track's closing day, Sunday, September 25. This year will mark the 102nd edition of the 10-lap event, which is still a major summer event in the province. The standardbred marathon (which is open to trotters or pacers) routinely draws crowds of 10,000 or more, and fans that don’t set foot at a racetrack any other day of the year always make a point of attending the Five-Mile Race.
