The Meadows’ legendary harness racing announcer Roger Huston has explained how easy it is for other tracks to get him to call the action at their establishments.
"All a track has to do is ask," Huston told D’Arcy Egan in his article for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
In addition to his duties at the Meadows, Huston is a fixture in the booth at the Delaware Ohio County Fair for the Little Brown Jug.
Huston agreed to call the races at Northfield Park on Thursday, August 28. He states that he is open to call dashes at whatever track asks him, if he is available.
"From pari-mutuel tracks to county fair races, if I can work the dates into my schedule, I'll be there," he said.
