Handle Remains Strong At Clinton

With just five weeks remaining in the shortened 2020 season at Clinton Raceway, wagering handle continues to remain strong.

The 11-race card on Sunday afternoon (Aug. 2) at the Huron County oval generated over $77,000 in money wagered. Weather wasn't ideal, but 100 fans were welcomed on-track for the second week under new spectator guidelines.

All fans and horsepeople should be commended for doing their part to adhere to the newly implemented rules and regulations. Anyone interested in watching the races live can pre-register by emailing [email protected].

The aptly-named Therubberduckie — owing to the soggy weather — was the first of the day to visit the winner's circle for driver Daryl Thiessen and owner-trainer Jeffrey Williamson.

Live harness racing resumes Sunday (Aug. 9) at 1:30 p.m. Details and information can be found at www.clintonraceway.com.
