This summer, Ontario Racing has hosted several visits by elected Members of Provincial Parliament to local tracks to learn more about the importance of racing to the Ontario economy, and personally meet horse owners, trainers, drivers, jockeys and racetrack staff.

Ontario Racing has stated that connecting the horse racing industry with its government partners is a key objective of OR.
