Maureen Rocks rallied home from the backfield to tie to the 1:49.1 track record for aged pacing mares and earn her fourth consecutive victory in Friday night’s $32,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Mohawk Racetrack

.

The daughter of Rocknroll Hanover-Armbro Maureen joined A Ps Money Maker, Laughandbehappy and Sweet Hedge in the record books after sprinting home in :26-seconds with Scott Zeron in the sulky.

Bullet Point (Chris Christoforou) set the tempo with fractions of :26.2, :55 and 1:22.2 with Maureen Rocks spotted third over in seventh before unleashing her late kick, which ultimately propelled her into the winner's circle. She was followed under the wire by first over Pink Kangaroo (Rick Zeron) and second over Naughtytiltheend (Sylvain Filion).

Maureen Rocks paid $3.90 to win as the 4-5 bettor's choice after winning last week's Preferred event. The four-year-old mare, who has won six of her nine starts this year, is trained by Tony O’Sullivan for owner-breeder Emerald Highlands Farm of Mount Vernon, Ohio. In just two seasons on track, she has earned 11 wins in 15 starts while banking $138,330.
