Trevor Henry didn’t make much noise during the first half of Monday evening’s card at Grand River Raceway, but fans heard him loud and clear in the back-half of the 11-race card.

Henry was shutout in the first five races, but he went on a tear by winning five of the final six races on the card.

He got the ball rolling with My Man (1:57.1) in Race 6, and completed the natural hat trick by winning Race 7 and Race 8 with Sharon The Moment (1:56.4) and Tylers Great (1:55.4), respectively.

The Arthur, Ontario horseman capped off the card with back-to-back wins starting with Rocknroll King (1:56.1) in Race 10 followed by Undersky El Passo (1:56) in Race 11.

The five-win performance helped Henry open up a bit of daylight on Billy Davis, Jr., who’s in hot pursuit for the Canadian dash title in 2013. Henry’s five wins gives him 287 victories for the season while Davis, who enjoyed a two-win night at Mohawk Racetrack, is currently ranked second with 274 wins.
