Parked the first quarter, Classic Belisima was unassailable once on top, rolling to a comfortable victory in Tuesday’s $15,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Classic Belisima wrested the early lead from Kandian Klub and had only to thwart the first-over challenge of Mistress Valentine — which she did — to score for Eric Goodell in 1:54.3. Kandian Klub finished second, a length back, while Mistress Valentine saved show.

John Cabot trains Classic Belisima, a four-year-old daughter of Crazed-Classic Yankee who notched her 11th victory this year and boosted her seasonal earnings over $100,000, for William Cantrell.

Goodell piloted four winners on the 14-race card, including a pair each for Cabot and trainer Paul Kennedy.
