Eyes from around the world were watching the races from the Buckeye State this week as thestable.ca fired up its Ohio barn for the summer and trainer Jason McGinnis brought 12 youngsters to Ohio for thestable.ca and its 460 owners.

On July 2, he captured one win and two third-place finishes in the trotting colts divisions of the Ohio Sires Stakes at Northfield Park.

Over the next four days thestable.ca dominated twice more. The five-day run saw a total of three wins, one second and three third-place finishes in 11 starts.

"Anytime you hit the road and have this kind of success, it's pretty amazing," said Anthony MacDonald, who co-founded thestable.ca with his wife Amy just a few years ago from their base in Guelph, ON. "Ohio is quickly becoming one of the most competitive racing jurisdictions and we certainly came out swinging.”

Over a hundred clients from multiple countries, states and provinces are represented in this group of horses racing in Ohio.

“This is just the start,” MacDonald said. “Our stake races in Pennsylvania and Ontario start next week and we have some real depth in both of those jurisdictions. It's certainly looks like it's going to be a fun summer for everyone at thestable.ca."

The fractional ownership operation now boasts wins in four jurisdictions. "You can't hide hard work," said MacDonald. "People have seen firsthand all of the hard work our employees have put into these horses, and the operation, all winter. These results are the fruits of their labour. Now, we turn the page and keep moving forward.”

Thestable.ca anticipates it will have 44 two-year-olds racing in seven jurisdictions this summer. The award-winning fractional ownership operation currently has 110 horses for 460 clients from 10 countries worldwide. Clients can purchase as little as one percent of a horse, making the thrill of racehorse ownership accessible to the mainstream.
