Driver Bob McClure capped off a big night at Grand River Raceway with five-year-old trotting gelding Six Bax winning the $7,000 Preferred 3 over favourite Zorgwijk Jock.

The young catch-driver pulled second choice Six Bax ($7.30) from the pocket in the stretch and got by Zorgwijk Jock for the quarter-length victory 1:58 flat. Radical Dreamer rounded out the top three finishers five and a half lengths behind.

The son of Kadabra, who has now posted back-to-back wins, is trained by Ben Baillargeon and owned by John Newell of Waterloo, Ont. and Ryan Rozema of Elmira, Ont.

The win in the final race of the night completed a driving grand slam and a sweep of the late Daily Double for McClure.
