Lydi Lula Belle won at odds of 5-1 in the $10,000 Filly and Mare Open at Century Downs on Saturday, July 29, going wire to wire in 1:53.4 over 3-5 favourite Tajmealover closing for second and Nighttraintovegas faltering to third.
A five-year-old mare by Henry Clay from the Arts Conquest mare Lindas Conquest, Lydi Lula Belle won her 10th race in 38 starts, earning $63,365. Owned by J J J Stables, trained by Jim Marino, and driven by William Tainish Jr., she paid $12.30 to win.
