Cajun Dreamin notched his fourth consecutive win at Sudbury Downs after wiring the field of Preferred trotters in

the featured $11,000 event on Wednesday night.

Trained and driven by Wayne MacLean for owner Jeff Rusnak of Lasalle, Ont., the 4-1 fourth choice charged off the gate from Post 1 and established an early three-length lead on the field by the opening quarter in :30.1. The Keystone Cajun-Summer Dream 11-year-old gelding reeled off the remaining fractions of 1:00.4 and 1:31 before sprinting home for the victory in 2:00.3.

Speedy Desperado (David Dowling) made a miscue when he angled three-wide at the third quarter station, but he managed to rally in the stretch to finish a half-length behind in second. Roan Star (Don Gillis, Jr.) rounded out the top three cashers.

The win was Cajun Dreamer's seventh of the season in 23 starts and lifted his earnings to $31,600. The veteran gelding has won 34 races lifetime earning $269,647.

MacLean also won with his pupils Vista (2:00.1) in Race 2 and Docdor Kevin (2:01) in Race 10.
