Putnams Power prevailed off a pocket trip to capture the $1,500 Inverness Gathering Pace on Friday at Inverness Raceway.

Putnams Power tracked Schooner through fractions of :28.4, :57.3 and 1:27.3 before powering past the pacesetter to score in 1:58.1. Thecolour Of Jewel finished one and three-quarter lengths behind in second while Surrealist edged out Oppies Artist for third, ahead of Schooner.

Redmond Doucet worked out the winning trip aboard the Force Of Life gelding for trainer Ronald Seymour Jr. and owner William Seymour of Glace Bay, N.S.

Putnams Power will attempt to make it three straight wins from post seven in Sunday's $2,500 Johnny & Margaret Allan Ian Memorial Pace.

In other action, 14-year-old pacing gelding Albert Town notched his 50th career win for local horseman Donald MacLellan. The career winner of over $500,000 overcame early interference and duelled alongside pacesetter Hoosier King the rest of the 2:01.4 mile. He prevailed by a quarter-length over Private Practice, with Hoosier King finishing two and a half lengths behind in third.

Keelan MacDonald celebrated his first training double on Friday with back-to-back wins mid-card courtesy of Four Starz Brass, driven by Ryan Campbell, and Seawind Armani, in rein to Colin Kelly. Those two stablemates have never finish worse than third in a combined 11 career starts for the young horseman.
