For the second week in a row, Unabating ($3.20) took top honours in Rideau Carleton Raceway's $6,500 Winners Over Handicap Trot for trainer/driver Guy Gagnon.

Just as he did last Sunday, nine-year-old gelding Unabating left from post four and led wire-to-wire in the featured trot. But instead of winning by one and a half lengths, he tacked on five extra lengths this time out and stopped the clock in 1:56.1. Raising Richard (Darrell Coville) was the runner-up again while Jetcrest (Robert Robinson) finished third.

Unabating has won three of his last four starts racing for Gagnon and owner Catheline Pelletier. Lifetime, the son of Broadway Hall boasts 36 career victories and earnings totalling $288,017.

This week's $6,650 Winners Over Handicap Pace went to the Jamie Copley trainee Skyway Boomer ($7.20), who shot through the passing lane off a pocket trip to defeat pacesetter Atomic Million AM (Jonathan Lachance) by half a length in 1:52.4 and give driver Brett MacDonald his fourth victory of the night. A back-to-back winner in the top pace for Gagnon, Nobettorplacetobe closed from the back of the seven-horse field to finish third.

Skyway Boomer is an 18-time career winner with earnings of $94,649. The five-year-old gelded son of Sportswriter, who has won four times in 11 starts this year, is owned by Copley Stables, Jody Sanderson, and Dean Larkin.
