Six For Hanners At Harrington

The Thursday program at Harrington Raceway was dominated by driver Brad Hanners, who visited victory lane on six occasions

Hanners, who recently resumed driving duties after about a week break following an on-track accident, started the night hot by winning three of the first five races with Shardons Debutante ($2.20), Mattgician ($5.20) and Red Storm Rising ($6.40). He then won the ninth with Captain Casey ($12.20) before taking Race 12 with Rustys Three Joys ($6.60) and then Race 13 with Little Robear ($8.20).

It was the second time this meet Hanners registered six wins in one night.

Racing will resume on July 29 for Governor’s Day during the Delaware State Fair, when Delaware’s top owned/bred horses will be in action with nearly $700,000 in total purses.

The meet will then resume its normal Sunday through Thursday schedule, following a special Saturday night of racing on August 14.

Driver Ross Wolfenden is the current leader in the driving standings, while Tim Crissman has a comfortable lead as the track’s top trainer.
