Junebugs Baby reclaimed the top class title from rival Silver Dragon at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon.
Junebugs Baby overtook Putnams Power after the opening quarter in the featured $1,100 Winners Over Pace and kept first over Hoosier King at bay en route to a 1:58.3 triumph. Silver Dragon rallied home off cover to place over two lengths behind with Putnams Power rounding out the top three finishers.
A winner in his five-year-old season's debut on June 14 over Silver Dragon, Junebugs Baby settled for third-place honours last week behind that foe.
The five-year-old homebred, who is two-for-three on the year, is owned by trainer/driver Fraser Turnbull and John Turnbull Jr. He now boasts 23 wins in 45 lifetime starts and a bankroll of $72,794.
