An accident occurred during Race 4 on Flamboro Downs's Wednesday, May 9 card of live racing

.

Three-year-old Geartogear filly Ardyne Phyllis, who is driven and trained by her owner, Garrett Rooney, was at the back of the pack in ninth when the incident took place.

The horse in front of Ardyne Phyllis, Hnt Angel, who was driven by Paul Mackenzie, made a break before the three-quarters pole. In turn, Ardyne Phyllis couldn't avoid the offstride Hnt Angel. She suffered interference and then fell to the track.

The dash was won by Dreamfair Misty, an Anthony MacDonald-driven 5-1 shot that went wire-to-wire in 1:57.3 for an 11-length romp.

Ardyne Phyllis walked off the track after the incident and did not appear to suffer any serious injuries.
