Tetrick Announces TGI Caddy Winner

Trace Tetrick, one of the members of the Fab Five at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino, announced the winner in the TGI Caddy promotion Friday, May 8

. The special promotion will offer eight Cadillacs in eight weeks during the Friday night promotion.

Tetrick announced the first winner on the casino floor shortly after the contest ended at 10 p.m. Friday. The first winner was Stephen Billingsley of Sheridan, Indiana. Billingsley will drive away in a brand new 2009 Cadillac CTS.

Each week, a member of the Fab Five will announce the winner of the TGI Caddy promotion, which runs through Friday, June 26. The promotion also includes $7,000 in hourly cash giveaways Thursday and Friday leading up to the car. A total of $350,000 is included cash and prizes in the TGI Caddy event.

Tagged as “Trace of Luck” Tetrick, the 22-year-old reinsman earned the leading driver title at Hoosier Park in 2008. The native of Geff, Illinois is currently fourth in the standings in 2009 with 31 wins in the first 34 nights of racing. Tetrick is also closing in on 1,000 career wins.

Other members of the Fab Five at Hoosier Park include “True Blue” Joe Putnam, Jason “Bad Boy” Dillander, “Slick Rick” Macomber, and Mike “Mo Pete” Peterson. Each of the drivers is being highlighted through special promotions and advertising campaigns during the 2009 racing season that runs through Saturday, July 11.

The Fab Five are featured on billboards, print advertisements, and the “I Win, You Win” contest each Friday and Saturday at the track, giving guests a chance to win a $50 Simon Gift Card each time one of the drivers wins a race. The new contest was kicked off Friday, May 8 with three wins brought home by the Fab Five. Dillander recorded a driving double while Putnam brought home a winner in the first round of the Future Stars trotting series.
