Thirteen-year-old pacing mare Lady Gi Gi toured Truro Raceway's half-mile oval on Sunday afternoon for her 50th career win.

Driven by Robert Laffin for trainer Blair Laffin, the Camluck-Guelph Gal miss swept from third to first after the :30.1 opening quarter mark and cruised through middle fractions of 1:02 and 1:31.4 en route to the milestone victory in 2:02.1. Pasta Verra, pocketed past the half, finished two lengths behind in second while late-closer N S Randee finished over nine lengths behind.

The victory was Lady Gi Gi's first in three starts this year. She paid $3.20 to win as the race favourite.

Bedford's James Chambers owns the $120,000 career earner.
