'Frank' Wins Flamboro Preferred

Incredable Frank wore down slight favourite Dragin The Wagon and drew away from the competition in Sunday night's $7,500 Preferred 3 Trot at Flamboro Downs to notch his second straight win for his new connections.

Incredable Frank ($5.60) settled into third-place early on while Dragin The Wagon forged to the front over insider Massive Muscles through a :28-second opening quarter. As they approached the half in :57.3, Incredabile Frank was tipped out first up. That proved to be the winning move as the son of Oaklea Julian began to reel in the leader down the backstretch and gained a slight advantage by the 1:27.1 third quarter station. He drew clear around the final turn and opened up four lengths down the stretch en route to the 1:57 triumph. Dragin The Wagon held on for second over late-closer Order By Commander and Massive Muscles.

Incredable Frank's victory in the Sunday finale was driver Alfie Carroll's third win in a row on the 11-race card and trainer Richard Moreau's second consecutive.

The seven-year-old trotter is now two-for-two for Moreau since being claimed for $12,000 at Mohawk Racetrack in mid-April. He has five wins in 13 starts on the year. Lynn Cameron, Gabriel Moreau and Michel Gaudreault share ownership.

Carroll and Moreau also teamed up to win with Aaron Waxman's Illinois acquisition, Beachside Bungalo ($3.40).

Prior to that victory, Carroll guided Mister X ($3.40) to the pacer's sixth straight triumph in a career-best 1:53.2. The four-year-old son of Mister Big was no April Fool's joke for trainer Ken Oliver and owners Shirley House, Kerry House and Kimberly Inglis, who claimed him four wins ago on April 1 at Western Fair Raceway for $12,500.
