Hybrid Henry, a three-year-old gelding trotter by Cam Rocket, set a new Maryland Sires Stakes record for sophomore trotters Tuesday night at Rosecroft winning in 1:55.1.

After retaking the lead from Just Like Bud (Corey Braden) just after the first quarter, driver Russell Foster cut fractions of :56.4 and 1:25.2 before bracing for a challenge from stablemate Ei Ei O, but he went off stride just before the three quarter pole and Hybrid Henry won by 3-1/2 lengths.

Richard Hans bred and owns the winner who is also the two-year-old gelding record holder, as well.

Foster also scored a sophomore pacing filly division with Evergreen Marla. The daughter of Capitol Power scored in a lifetime best clocking of 1:55.1.

Hybrid Heidi won the other split for Brian Burton, just missing the Sires Stakes record, in 1:53.1. Richard Hans owns the daughter of Cams Rocket who is trained by Carlin Savage.
