Steamin Demon Recap

Special D finished like a whirlwind to take the fastest division of the Steamin Demon series on Thursday night at Scioto Downs. He scored in 1:55 with a four and three-quarter-length triumph for trainer Brian Brown and driver Chris Page.

The other divisions of the second leg of the Steamin Demon series went to El Puncho and Great Scot.

El Puncho took the lead before the half-mile marker and held on to win by a neck in 1:56.1. Kyle Ater drove for his father, trainer Dan Ater. Great Scot, trained and driven by Bruce Sturgeon, came from off the pace to win his division by a head in 1:57.4.

Two divisions of the second leg of the B F Coaltown series for trotters were contested. The fastest went to Aloha Hooray, an impressive six-length victor in a snappy 1:56.4. He took control of the race before the half for driver Matt Kakaley and never looked back. Scott Cox trains.

Justin Hall was the trainer and driver of V Squared, winner of the other B F Coaltown division. He rallied in the stretch to win by a half-length in 1:59.3.
