An item which recently appeared on the Standardbred Canada website showcased an unearthed, mid-1970s emergency vehicle that had been used at Sudbury Downs. Now, images of an even older raceway classic have surfaced, and the ride is beauty.
Leave it to hotrod.com of all outlets to track down and display an absolutely gorgeous starting-gate vehicle – a 1954 Buick Roadmaster, no less.
According to the brief hotrod.com write-up, the white convertible with the classic lines was one of just 3,305 Roadmasters that were manufactured in 1954.
Little is currently known about the history of the particular starting-gate vehicle, but the report explains that the vintage whip has been residing in a garage in Chicago, Illinois.
