Dismissed at a lush 32-1, Angelo J Fra blew up the tote board Tuesday at The Meadows when he brushed wide through the line to capture an opening-leg division of the Visible Gold Pace.

Somekindaparty took the other $17,500 split in the series, for sophomore colts and geldings, which honours Visible Gold, a fast-class star from the Ron Burke stable.

Angelo J Fra was fifth by 3-1/2 lengths at the three-quarters when Tony Hall asked him for pace. He sailed through the slop and nailed the leader, Chaching Hanover, by a neck in 1:55.2, with RN Nate third.

Norm Parker trains Angelo J Fra, a The Panderosa-Caila Fra gelding, and owns with Megan Rogers Racing Stables.

Somekindaparty was hammered down to 1-5 and performed like the heavy favourite, overpowering the field late to prevail in 1:54.1 for Aaron Merriman, trainer Mark Goldberg and owners George Kehm and Jerry Kehm. Nesh Cruiser was 4-3/4 lengths back in second while Utah Beach earned show. It was the second win in the last three starts for the Somebeachsomewhere-Preppy Party Girl colt.

In the $18,000 Filly & Mare Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot, Anaffairtoremember powered up first over from third for Merriman and scored in 1:53.4, fastest mile this year by an older mare on a five-eighths-mile track. Unefoisdansmavie rallied for second, 1-1/2 lengths back, with early leader Cowgirl Hall third.

Bercury owns and trains Anaffairtoremember, a five-year-old daughter of Angus Hall-Val Lee Woman who extended her career bankroll to $335,237.
