Mighty Mouse closed out Friday night's (April 29) card of harness racing at The Raceway at the Western Fair District with her fifth straight victory and a new lifetime mark.

Driven by J Harris, the five-year-old daughter of Million Dollar Cam turned in a career-best mile of 1:56.4 as she persevered on the front end in the $12,000 claiming-conditioned pace for fillies and mares. She retook the lead from Spilling The Beans in the first quarter and then held off that foe by three-quarters of length in the stretch. Kelly Rae finished nine lengths behind in third over Sportsonthebeach, who challenged the winner first over throughout.

The victory was Mighty Mouse's fifth in a row and third straight at The Raceway since being claimed on April 7 at Flamboro Downs by Alyshia Williamson of Blyth, Ont. She has earned back her claiming tag of $7,500 and then some racing from the Jim Watt stable.

The Robert McMillan-bred mare is now a 10-time career winner with nearly $40,000 in purse earnings.
