The Ontario Prep Series began with its first elimination round for three-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday evening at Flamboro Downs

.

Driver Billy Davis Jr. won two of the three $10,000 eliminations with Jack Darling trainee Twin B Elite and the Shawn Robinson-conditioned Hope For Paddy.

The popular Twin B Elite gave way to Shes All Good (Anthony MacDonald), but swept to command after the :27.3 opening quarter. Once in control, she proceeded to the half in :56.3 and turned back the first over challenge of Phoenix Seelster (Scott Zeron) past the 1:25.4 third quarter station. Twin B Elite then held off Shes All Good down the stretch to score in 1:56.2 by a quarter length. Apach Of Luck (Scott Coulter) finished third.

Twin B Elite paid $2.80 to win for the first time in two starts this year. The Jeremes Jet-What An Attitude miss, who has banked $43,790 to date, is owned by the Jack Darling Stables Ltd. of Cambridge, Ont. In nine starts at two, she won two races and finished second in three Grassroots events.

Favourite Hope For Paddy advanced first up from fifth after the first quarter and wore down Sunflower (Brandon Campbell), who had carved out fractions of :28.2, :58, and 1:26.2. Hope For Paddy drew off by more than three lengths down the stretch to win her elimination in 1:56. Village Bound (Scott Coulter) finished second off a pocket trip and second over Jett Hott Stuff (Scott Zeron) was third.

Hope For Paddy paid $2.10 to win. The Mach Three-Hope For Life filly won her only start late last year and has gone seven-for-10 to start her sophomore season while never missing a paycheque. The $71,250 earner is owned by CMR Farms of Hagersville, Ont.

The other elimination was won by driver Anthony MacDonald and Richard Fife trainee Eyemajet.

Favourite Eyemajet worked her way to command from post four and carved out fractions of :27.4, :58, and 1:25.4 before holding off the first over Dreamfair Eclipse (Billy Davis Jr.), a daughter of 2012 Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee Mystic Mistress and full-sister to the likes of Camystic, Lucks Mystress and Mystician. Eyemajet prevailed by half a length in 1:55.1. Hiddenbrooke (Paul MacKenzie) came on for third.

Eyemajet paid $4.30 to win. The Jeremes Jet-Aahptometrist filly, who has put together a record reading 3-1-1 in seven starts during her debut season, is owned by Fife and breeder Val Spar Stables of West Hill, Ont. The lion's share of the purse lifted her bankroll to $19,610.

The Ontario Prep Series is for three-year-old Ontario sired pacers and trotters that are non-winners of $40,000 in 2011. The $50,000 (added) final for the pacing fillies will take place next Sunday, April 22, along with the eliminations for the pacing colt series. The trotting series will begin in May.
