Tetrick Wins Five Again At Dover

Tim Tetrick won five races for the second-straight day while Theresademoninme won the $30,000 Open Handicap Trot for the third-straight week on Tuesday, March 27 at Dover Downs.

Theresademoninme rolled out of post 7 to snatch the early lead and was never headed in a 1:53.2 victory, his fifth in the last seven feature trots at the track. Jonathan Roberts was in his regular spot driving the Kadabra-Tortoni gelding to his 28th win in his career, giving him lifetime earnings of $424,578. Dylan Davis trains and owns Theresademoninme with co-owner Mike Casalino Jr.

Rock Of Cashel closed with a rush to finish second while Gural Hanover in his second race of the year, finished third.

After winning the first three races, Tetrick steered Delbert Cain and Nanticoke Racing’s Go Byem to a third-consecutive victory, winning in 1:54.3 in a $15,000 Winners-Over Trot. Tough Mac led most of the way before tiring in the stretch. Go Byem came thee wide around the final turn on the way to the win. Blownoutofthewater was second with Royal Becca J third.

Howard Taylor and Rich Lombardo’s Holiday Promise notched a 1:55 score in a $15,000 Winners Trot. It was the second-straight win for the Holiday Road-Promisemespring four-year-old mare trained by Josh Green with Tony Morgan in the bike. Splashed was second, with Jackson’s Gold third.

Betterhaveanother leaves from post 8 in the last top female pace of the season on Wednesday, March 28 at Dover Downs. A $15,000 and a $12,000 female pace top the undercard.

Counting a February win at the Meadowlands, Bettorhaveanother won in four of her last five starts. Tony Morgan has driven her in all her locals starts for trainer Ron Burke and owners Weaver Bruscemi and Burke Racing. Two of her challengers won their previous races: Gary Ewing’s Sweet Bobbie, to be driven by Art Stafford Jr., and Marion Beachy’s Berazzled, with Jonathan Roberts.

Mike Hall and Dave Hamm’s Nerida Franco N leaves from the rail for Allan Davis. Also entered are Terror At Night, owned by Arlene Paisley, Ed Maas and Nanticoke Racing and conditioned by Mike Cole, Breakaway Stable’s Valuable Art and Corey Callahan, KDK Standardbred’s Apple Bottom Jeans, piloted by Vic Kirby, and Divas Image, racing for owners Our Horse Cents Stable, J&T Silva and Stable 45 and will be driven by Tim Tetrick.

Jay Mehlenbacher, Enviro, Camelot and Bay stable’s Stormtracker leads a $22,000 Mares sub-feature; a $16,000 Mares Winner-Over, a $15,000 and a $14,000 female pace are also on the undercard.

Live racing at Dover Downs for the 2017-2018 season comes to a close on Thursday, March 29 with a card featuring four $100,000 DSBF Three-Year-Old finals and a $40,000 Preferred pace heading a 14-race program. Post time is at 4:30 p.m.

Dover Downs’ features a 50-cent Pick 5 wager starting with the 2nd race through the 6th. A late daily double is carded for the 12th and 13th races.
