Pictonian Sareta took advantage of the passing lane to gain the upper hand in the stretch in Saturday's featured $7,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 Pace at Flamboro Downs.

Race leader Cracklin Rosie (:29, :59.2, 1:29) was confronted by Topanga Canyon during the third panel while the pocket-sitting Pictonian Sareta and J Harris waited for the passing lane to scoot through for the 1:57.4 victory. She defeated Cracklin Rosie (Luc Ouellette) and Topanga Canyon (Robert Shepherd) by half a length as the 2-1 favourite.

The daughter of Western Paradise out of Southview Selena has won three of her last four starts at Flamboro Downs for trainer and owner Jack Harris of Hagersville, Ont.

The five-year-old Nova Scotia-bred mare notched her 16th career win and lifted her earnings over $120,000.
