It has been announced that Cannery Casino Resorts, the parent company of the Meadows Racetrack, has made $4 million in upgrades to the Pennsylvania raceway.

According to a report by the Pittsburgh Business Times, the investment in the track is part of a 10-year, $10-million investment that the track owners are required to make under state law.

The article has quoted the track’s director of racetrack operations, Kevin Decker, as saying, “These investments confirm our commitment to providing high-quality harness racing for years to come.”

Decker went on to add, “While not seen by the public, these improvements will have a lasting impact on the drivers, trainers, staff, along with the health of the horses.”

The report states that the money has been directed towards improvements in barns, stalls, gates and paving.
