The 12-race program at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday night (March 21) kept both the longshot and chalk players happy. A total of seven races were won with win mutuels in the double digits, while the other five events went to heavy favourites.

The longest price on the night came in the featured $7,700 mares pace with Voltina (John Cummings Jr.) returning $27.40 to win while scoring a 1-1/4 length decision over Tymal Luckynpink in 1:56.3 over a fast track.

Other big prices came from wins by A Weekend ($18.60), Cashco ($20.80), Henrys Way ($15.60), It Was An Honor ($12.60), Ruddy Rusty ($13.40) and Krystal C ($10.80).

The drivers spread the wealth around also, as Cummings Jr. and Billy Davis Jr. each produced triples and James McNeight Jr. and Jim Morrill Jr. got two each.

Anthony Cummings and Jim McNeight each had two training victories.

Racing will return on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. with a 10-race card scheduled. The World Harness Handicapping Challenge qualifier will be held at Buffalo Raceway with $850 in cash prizes on the line. The winner will also get a paid entry into the WHHC finals at the Meadowlands on Saturday, April 28. The entry fee is $10.
