Bill Davis and Kelly Hoerdt made the most of their final drives leading up to Saturday’s National Driving Championship at Fraser Downs while the six out of town drivers watched the races from the Clubhouse for most of Friday evening
.
Hoerdt celebrated his 43rd birthday with a pair of wins in races 3 and 6 while Davis hit for a triple with victories in races 5, 8, and 9.
Marc Campbell and Daniel Potvin both had the chance to test the waters with drives in the second race. Campbell finished third while Potvin finished sixth.
"It’s been a while since I’ve driven," Campbell told Trot Insider, "so I jumped at the opportunity when it was offered."
Post time for the NDC is 1:15 p.m. (pt) and the championship races are carded as races 2 through 9. Standardbred Canada will provide live streaming of the races and updates after each race.
