This weekend, Lil Dude Starrbuck will be returning to the scene of his most lucrative career triumph

.

An article by John Short in the Edmonton Sun has explained that the 11-year-old son of Threefold has drawn Post 5 in Northlands Park's eight-horse Open Pace on Saturday, March 3.

Lil Dude Starrbuck, a career winner of 41 races and 187 in purses has drawn Post 5 and has been paired with pilot Jeff Stone.

“Having Jeff drive him exclusively is one of the reasons the owner (Lil Dude Ranch) shipped him to us,” trainer Kim Baker was quoted as saying in Short's piece.

In 2004, Lil Dude Starrbuck recorded his most lucrative career victory at Northlands, a win in the 2004 edition of the Western Canada Pacing Derby, which netted his connections $64,480 in purse earnings.

“'The Dude' is going to race next weekend, too," Baker said. "There are some good purses coming up at Lacombe (Alberta Downs) and we want him ready for them.”
