Sent postward as the 6-5 favourite, Daylight Rush delivered on his pari-mutuel promise with a front-end victory in the $11,000 Preferred 2 & 3 Handicap Pace featured on Flamboro Downs' Sunday harness racing card.

With Jonathan Drury in the sulky, Daylight Rush led the field through fractions of :27.1, :56.4 and 1:24.4 en route to his first Flamboro Downs victory in 1:53.1. He paid $4.70 to win. Win One Soon (Paul MacKenzie) finished two and a quarter lengths behind off a pocket trip with Lyons Sands (J Harris) following in third as first-over challenger Champagne Phil (Scott Coulter) ended up fourth.

Daylight Rush is now a two-time winner from six starts this year. Blake MacIntosh trains and shares ownership of the four-year-old Art Colony gelding with Hutt Racing Stable.
