Bestulldotanite Goes Back-To-Back

Back-to-back Preferred winner Bestulldotanite wired her Flamboro Downs foes once again on Saturday night (March 19) for driver Robert Shepherd and trainer Robert Ellis.

Bestulldotanite cruised through fractions of :29, :59.2 and 1:28 en route to a 1:57.2 victory over the pocket-riding longshot Tilikum (Denis St Pierre) in Saturday's $10,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 Handicap Pace. Pictonian Sareta (J Harris) swept off cover down the backside and finished third.

Fresh off a Preferred 3 win last weekend, Bestulldotanite was the 4-5 favourite and paid $3.60 to win.

Jjs Stables owns and bred the seven-year-old Geartogear-Naomi Seelster mare, who has won 25 times while banking $136,485 in purses throughout her career.

In the $7,500 Preferred 3, Doo Wee Rusty and J Harris closed through the passing lane to defeat the duelling 8-5 pacesetter Katherine B (Alfie Carroll) and first over challenger Topanga Canyon (Bob McClure) in 1:57.1. Jack Harris owns and trains the five-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Girly Brown mare, who paid $9.90 to win.
