Obtaining an uncontested lead, Drivingthedragon N wired the field in the $8,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace at Flamboro Downs on Saturday, March 17.

Sent the 9-5 second choice, the nine-year-old Isabelle Darveau trainee led War Filly through a :28 opening quarter. Following a half in :58.4 and three-quarters in 1:27.1 with no challenge for the top, Drivingthedragon N turned into the stretch leading by two-and-a-half lengths. War Filly, the 8-5 favourite, chased in the pocket and was overtaken by On The Minute Mark through the passing lane and by Osprey Blue Chip moving first over.

Drivingthedragon N won in 1:57.3 a length-and-three-quarters in front of On The Minute Mark, in second, and Osprey Blue Chip, in third.

By Sutter Hanover out of the Mystical Shark mare Shark Alert, Drivingthedragon N, owned by Donald Mac Rae, won her second race in eight starts this season and her 31st in 99 overall, compiling $172,737 in earnings. Driven by Robert Shepherd, she paid $5.70 to win.
