It has been reported that an Indiana Senate Committee has passed a piece of legislation that calls for state residents to be able to place wagers on horse races online.

An article by the Indianapolis Business Journal explains that the Public Policy Committee passed House Bill 1270 by a vote of 9-0 on Wednesday (March 11).

The bill was authored by Rep. Robert Cherry and is still considered “a work in progress” by Sen. Luke Kenley, who has requested that the bill be moved to a committee that he chairs (the Senate Appropriations Committee).
