Brian Murphy of Forte Law Droit says that Horse Racing New Brunswick's lawsuit against the Province of New Brunswick is on track and that negotiations for a potential settlement are ongoing.
"People have to understand that these things take time. From discussions with HRNB's board of directors I understand the sense of urgency they and the industry feel as we approach an uncertain racing season in New Brunswick," says Murphy. "The process takes time."
"I appreciate the need for knowledge as people in this industry are very passionate about racing. However, sharing details of these things just isn't appropriate. There needs to be confidentiality."
Murphy went on to say, like many people who understand the value of the industry, he's hopeful for better days ahead.
