Longshot players got their wish in Thursday’s $7,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 3 at Flamboro Downs thanks to a startling upset by Bestulldotanite.

Starting from Post 3, Bestulldotanite and driver Scott Coulter crossed over and got away fourth at odds of 22-1 while One Last Bono raced out to a big lead and carved out biggie-sized splits of :27.1 and :55.4. Zip Car made a three-wide bid in the backstretch and showed a short lead at the three-quarter pole in 1:26.4 as the tempo started to get soft. Bestulldotanite tracked that foe and only needed a :31-second closing quarter to win by one-quarter of a length over Zip Car in 1:58. One Last Bono was a lapped-on third.

Bob Ellis conditions the six-year-old daughter of Geartogear-Naomi Seelster for JJS Stables of Grand Valley, Ontario. The victory was her first of the season and the 17th of her career. The $3,500 payday boosted her overall bankroll to $77,810.
