Tim Tetrick is scheduled to be in the sulky in New Zealand this Friday (February 13) as a tune up for the 2015 World Driving Championship, which will take place in New South Wales, Australia, from February 21 to March 1.

Tetrick, who will represent the United States in the WDC, is scheduled to drive in the Mitavite Mobile Pace (Race 5) during this Friday’s card at Alexandra Park in Auckland, NZ.

Tetrick is down to drive The Fascinator in the Mitavite Mobile Pace. The mare’s regular driver, Tony Herlihy, gave up the drive so Tetrick could get his bearings in regard to Down Under racing.

"He wants some practice before the world championships start in Australia," Herlihy was quoted as saying in a report by stuff.co.nz.

Herlihy went on to say that “It will be the wrong way round for [Tetrick] and it will be his first time in our carts, so he has a few things against him.”

Speaking of The Fascinator, Herlihy said, “she's a lovely mare to drive – the little thing has never raced badly."
