Madonna Morrison of Charlottetown, PE, is the Heart of Harness Racing’s February calendar photographer. She captured this image of Make It So at Meridian Farms.
Morrison is a recent graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island’s Atlantic Veterinary College. She has been working as a groom at Meridian Farms for the past seven years and in 2016 she received the Prince County Horsemen’s Club Groom of the Year Award.
Make It So started 39 times in 2017, winning two of those races. His wins were back to back at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park on January 21 and 28.
This is the second consecutive year that one of Madonna’s photos has been featured in the calendar. She is also a regular contributor to the Fan Club’s monthly Zoom contests, and won the 2016 May Zoom contest featuring Frisky Foals with her shot of Marine Band.
