Georgian Downs is currently dark in terms of live Standardbred racing, but the Innisfil, Ont. raceway sure had a lot of horsepower on display this past weekend.

A brief article by the Barrie Examiner explains that the Royal Distributing Cup National Snowcross, which is an event sanctioned by the Canadian Snowcross Racing Association, roared into Georgian Downs and offer those in attendance a wide array of action.

The weekend featured all sorts of classes of racing. There were events for everyone from four years of age all the way up to world-class professional racers.

The weekend of snowmobile racing was presented by St-Onge Recreation and MBRP, a manufacturer of snowmobile equipment.

Georgian Downs’ season of live harness racing is scheduled to get underway in early June. To view a list of race dates, click here.
