Brushing to the top around the final turn, Nower Power, the second-public choice, cruised to a four-and-a-half length victory in the $11,400 Alliance Claiming Series final for $15,000 conditioned claiming trotters at Flamboro Downs on Saturday, December 30.

Positioned fourth, Nower Power stalked a tepid tempo by uncontested leader Massmade, going a :30.2 quarter and a 1:01.2 half before Nower Power recouped six lengths to draw alongside the leader at three-quarters in 1:32. Kicking to a two-length lead into the stretch, Nower Power strolled clear of Hilarious Honey, riding his cover, in second, while Little Macabee circumvented Massmade off a pocket trip to take third.

A three-year-old gelding by Power Play out of the Garland Lobell mare Nowerland G Girl, Nower Power, competing for Thestable Power Group, won his seventh race in 33 starts and in 45 starts overall, earning $32,287. Trained by Isabelle Darveau and driven by Robert Shepherd, he paid $5.90 to win.
