Trainer Victory Puddy is putting the finishes touches on a career season, and judging by his Monday performance at The Raceway at Western Fair District he plans on finishing with a bang.
Puddy sent out a trio of winners on the 14-race card, and in doing so he pushed his yearly win total to 173 and his seasonal purse haul to $1,317,909.
Plans Over got the ball rolling for Puddy with a 1:59 score in Race 6. Alfie Carroll mapped out the front-stepping trip for the four-year-old son of Badlands Hanover. Carroll and Puddy also joined forces to win Race 9 with Weather Hanover in 1:57.3 followed by a triumph in the finale with Johnny Prine Tyme in 1:59.
Carroll, who also catch-drove the Greg Weatherbee-trained Intended Royalty to a 1:59.1 tally in Race 12, finished his day with a four-win performance.
Puddy, who is wrapping up his second consecutive season of banking in excess of $1 million in purse earnings, has compile 1,651 lifetime wins and purses of close to $10 million.
