Paul MacKenzie got in the holiday spirit Friday at Flamboro Downs by giving his backers some extra holiday cash while at the same time giving his fellow sulky sitters a clinic on how to win races.
The Puslinch, ON horseman made six trips to victory lane on the 12-race card, including a first race triumph with Oppies Deuces Wild in 2:00.4. MacKenzie also took the checkered flag with Deuces Lucky One (2:01.3), Umygeorgia Hanover (2:01.4), Poderoso N (2:04.4), Action Image Hall (2:01.2) and Lyons Johnny (2:00).
MacKenzie has already surpassed last year’s total number of wins (274) and total purse earnings ($2,092,953) as he currently checks in with 315 victories and purse earnings in excess of $2.5 million. To date, the PEI native has registered 7,632 wins while racking up purse earnings in excess of $43 million.
