Jacob found his way to the winner’s circle on Saturday afternoon at Exhibition Park Raceway, and in doing so he pushed his 2008 win total to 21!
The son of Blissful Hall was handled by Rookie of the Year candidate Chris Davies en route to the gate-to-wire effort.
The pacer was forced to off a late surge from Rapid Cane Time to post the win in a time of 2:04 for owners David Mitchell and Kenny Fudge of Saint John, NB.
Jacob is a lock for the track’s Claimer of the Year honours, but he won’t be in the running for Horse of the Year honours. Claiming horses are excluded from winning the award.
Jacob is currently tied for second in North America when it comes to winning races in 2008. He will take aim at securing his 22nd win of the campaign on Saturday, December 27th at Exhibition Park Raceway.
