Trevor Henry put on a driving clinic Thursday evening at Flamboro Downs thanks to his six-win performance on the 12-race card.
Henry, who leads all Canadian reinsmen when it comes to winning races in 2013, kicked off the card with a 1:59.4 triumph behind I C Youcandance. He was back to take the checkered flag in Race 5 with Shipps Xcalibur (1:55.4). He came right with Boomersbestbet (1:56.4) in Race 6 and then Maras World (1:58.2) in Race 7.
He celebrated a front-stepping triumph with J Jetstar (1:54.4) in Race 10, and he then rallied CIS Buckeye (1:57.3) to a narrow score in the featured $10,000 Preferred 2 for trotters.
Henry, who surpassed the 500-win plateau for the second year-in-a-row, is quickly closing in on $2.5 million in seasonal earnings. The career winner of 5,104 races had racked up lifetime purses topping $32 million.
