Yo Yo Mass Wires Flamboro Field

Taking control into the backstretch, Yo Yo Mass went wire to wire as the 3-2 favourite, winning the $8,500 Preferred 3 Trot on Saturday, December 2 in 1:58.4.

Challenged early by Stirling Boudica through a :28.3 quarter, Yo Yo Mass remained in front as the second-favourite went off stride before a :58.1 half. Her only other challenger was Deweylovernleaver, who pulled first over from third heading to three-quarters. Timed in 1:28.1, Yo Yo Mass opened a one-and-three-quarter length lead into the stretch before winning by three-and-three-quarter lengths, with pocket-rider Musical Spell finishing second and Willyorwonthe moving up the rail to take third.

A three-year-old gelding by Muscle Mass out of the Angus Hall mare Stonebridge Entice, Yo Yo Mass, paying $5.00 to win, won his eighth race in 22 starts this season and in 29 starts overall, earning $120,600. He's owned by Nancy Grimble and trainer Kyle Reibeling, and was driven by Bruce Richardson.
