The Sunday matinee program at Truro Raceway was dominated by various members of the Laffin family. Collectively, the Laffins accounted for nine wins on the 13-race card.
Robert Laffin got the ball rolling in Race 3 by guiding H V Jimmy (2:04.3) to victory lane. Robert also scored with Winners Arrow (2:00.4) in Race 12.
Ernie Laffin and Blair Laffin joined forces to score with Hutchs Bambi (2:03.2) in Race 4. It was the first of three trips to the winner’s circle for the duo.
The pulled off a 12-1 upset with Winfromheretohere (2:04) in Race 6 before pummeling the competition with Life Of Crime (2:01.3) in Race 10.
Ernie tacked on a catch-driving win with the Bernard McCallum-trained Imps Finesse (2:00.1) in Race 11 to bring his daily win total to four.
